It's hard sometimes to look to the future with hope, unless you've experienced God's faithfulness in the past. (you're experiencing it now too, even if you are unaware of it) And I'm assuming if you've been a follower of Jesus for a season or more, you have moments in the past that are marked with His grace, provision, guidance, and mercy. So, as a friend reminded me today, sometimes it's good to remember the past and see all the ways God has lead and provided for you. And the future, though still uncertain as ever, is much less frightening when you remember his goodness and trust in His faithfulness.

I'm thankful to God for friends who hopefully live in this simultaneously crappy and beautiful world.
