I wanted to take the time to sit and write some reflections of things I’ve been learning these past weeks and months. What first popped into my mind wasn't as deep as I was expecting. But, you know, the little stuff counts, too:

#1: I’m never able to spell “hallelujah” correctly the first time.
(or the second time. 4th’s usually the charm. I always forget the "j")

I stir a drizzle of almost expired egg nog into my coffee mug and watch the yellow milk disappear in my coffee. My wee tastebuds nod to the faint note of the not far past holiday egg nog inspires.

The time I’ve carved out of this day to reminisce has begun. It's good to reflect.

And now that I've gotten #1 out of the way, I better stop getting distracted and see if I get to the deeper things. I'm sharing a smattering of photographs from the past and last but not least, a song by JJ Heller called Kingdom Come.

That's all!

Ashes, ashes, we fall down
it always feels to soon
but when we walk on golden ground
all will be made new

Alleluia
Alleluia
Alleluia
all will be made new

Life is but a dream at best
morning's coming soon
Kingdom come will bring us rest
all will be made new

Alleluia
Alleluia
Alleluia
all will be made new

. . . . . . . .
